Bill Kidwell is all for keeping this season from becoming the mortgage industry’s Summer of Rage. We’ve got no business putting our heads in the sand, so carve out a little time to get acquainted with the political backdrop. Who knows – you could be the next great industry advocate:

The Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection has plans for your summer. On May 9th they shared their Outline of Proposals Under Consideration. On May 25th the met in Washington, D.C. with the Office of Management and Budget and the Office of SBA Advocacy and a select group of Small Entity Representatives. All of this is to prepare for what they have to do to implement the Dodd Frank Act. The purpose of this session is to make sure you know what they are planning so you are prepared to comment on their proposed rule making. If you don’t know about this and don’t make your opinion known, a lot of the other things you learn at this informative conference may be wasted.

Everybody is looking for ways to create more time and/or money by improving their productivity. With the power of Evernote, you can. Most people think of Evernote as a place to take and store notes, but calling it a “note-taking” application is like referring to Peyton Manning as simply “a quarterback”. The description does not do it justice.

Dean will take a deep look into the features and functionality of this free web/mobile/desktop app dynamo, showing you the best hacks, shortcuts and power moves to help make Evernote your go-to app for just about everything.
